We finally finished our changing table project last week!
When we moved into our apartment over a year ago, my parents gave us their old entertainment center. They had upgraded to a flat screen TV, so the unit no longer worked for them. We still had a tube TV, so it worked. But when we upgraded our TV too, the unit became a storage center in our second bedroom.
When we found out we were expecting, we knew we would have to rearrange the second bedroom to accommodate all the new baby furniture, so we planned on getting rid of the unit.
But then I saw this changing table online, and came up with an idea!
We could re-purpose the unit into a change table! It would be perfect because it would be a change table AND storage. So I talked to my dad, who said he could help (which was good, because I needed the help). We want the baby's furniture to be white, so this project was going to involve cutting, rebuilding, and painting. So he came up for a day, and we cut the top, lowered it on the one side, and primed it.
Aaron and I painted it.
My dad cut and primed some plywood for a new backing to replace the old cardboard backing, and I painted it. Aaron and I attached it just last week and the change table is officially complete!
Now I just need to order the changing pad and it'll be ready to go!
I think it turned out really well!

Beach Day!
This weekend we went with Austin, Mariko, and Harrison to Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware for a beach day! We took a bit of a risk with the weather, but it ended up being pretty good- overcast/cloudy and windy, but still warm enough to enjoy the water.
The waves were super strong and big- we could be standing in ankle deep water and a wave could come along and get us wet to our waists or higher!
Because of the waves, there was seafoam everywhere. I've been to the beach lots of times in my life but I don't remember ever seeing this much seafoam (which was not a pretty green color, by the way). Harrison was having a blast running around in it.
Aaron and I went for a little walk along the beach. We enjoy people watching, and as we were walking, we saw a group of four guys (college age, probably) standing around in short-ish swim shorts, talking. One of them had short, dark hair. The other three, however, had long, bleach-blond hair, blowing in the wind. I couldn't help but laugh- to me they looked like Lucius Malfoy x3. And can you imagine Lucius Malfoy enjoying himself on the beach?
We had to keep moving our stuff farther and farther from the water as the tide was rising. At one point our things got soaked by the tide while we were all in the water. Dang. Soon after that, we decided to pack up, and as we were getting ready to do, we started to feel the rain starting. Good time to leave! Unfortunately everyone else thought so too, so the lines were super long at the bath house to shower and change. (Thank you, silly people who took 20 minute showers when the rest of us just wanted to rinse off!)
All in all, a fun day!

Baby Bump- Part 1
I've received requests for baby bump pictures, so here we go!
Excuse the lack of makeup in most of these pictures- pregnancy and staying home has made me a little lazy in that department :)
Updates:
I finally feel like I'm looking pregnant instead of just chubby. Finally!
I was still having morning sickness about once a week until about a month ago. So glad I'm passed that stage now- it was completely miserable! Now I just feel like I'm constantly hungry...
I've been feeling baby kicks for a while now, but recently they've gotten a lot stronger and more frequent. Gummy Bear also gets hiccups now- I started feeling those just over a week ago. Aaron loves to feel and see (yes, see!) our little baby moving around. It's so strange but I love those little reassurances that he's okay in there!
Wedding rings are off. I've resorted to wearing a cheap-o ring from Claire's that normally a size or two too big. Sad.
Only (about) 16 more weeks until we get to meet our little guy!

Kimbler Reunion
We had a bit of a Kimbler reunion in Upstate New York in July. (I forgot to blog about it with all the excitement over baby!)
We didn't have all the Kimblers there, but we had Aaron's parents and grandma, us, and his brother's family from Arizona. His brother from Ohio was planning on coming too, but ended up not being able to.
We did a lot of fun things on our trip. On our way up, Aaron and I stopped for a night in Corning NY and spent most of a day at the Corning Museum of Glass. It was a really cool museum, and I even blew my own glass ornament!
We had a really fun day at the Rochester Museum of Play.
We did some geocaching.
We visited Aaron's mom's grave.
We went to Stoneybrook State Park.
We went to Lake Ontario (which smells really gross, by the way).
We had a family birthday party.
We went to the Hill Cumorah Pageant.
And we played!
It was a great trip- a little over a week of fun with family!
